1. Legislative Assembly
- Location: Amaravati, spread across 103 acres.
- Investment: ₹765 crore.
- Features:
- A 250-meter-high tower accessible to visitors when the Assembly is not in session.
- Total area of 11.22 lakh square feet.
- Modern architecture blending utility with iconic design.
2. High Court
- Location: 42 acres designated for the judicial complex.
- Budget: ₹1,049 crore.
- Specifications:
- 55-meter-high structure with seven floors.
- Covers a total area of 20.32 lakh square feet.
- Designed to facilitate efficient judicial operations and accommodate future needs.
3. Iconic Towers
- Total Cost: ₹4,688 crore.
- Scope: Five towers with a combined area of 68,88,064 square feet.
- Key Tower:
- GAD Tower with 47 floors, covering 17,03,433 square feet.
- Will house offices for Ministers, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and staff, centralizing administrative operations.
4. Land Pooling Scheme Roads
- Length: 579.5 km of road infrastructure.
- Expenditure: ₹9,699 crore.
- Integrated Features:
- Sewage and drinking water pipelines.
- Stormwater drainage systems.
- Electrical and telecom cabling for future-ready connectivity.
Cost Escalation Challenges
Minister P. Narayana highlighted the rising costs of construction, attributing the surge to inflation and increasing demands for advanced infrastructure:
- Government buildings: Up by 49.02% since 2017-18.
- Iconic towers: Costs increased by 41%.
- Flood canals: Costs escalated by 39%.
- LPS roadworks: Experienced a rise of 28%-35%.
