On July 4, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with “The Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago”, the highest civilian award of the Caribbean island nation. This marks a historic milestone, as it is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Trinidad and Tobago since 1999.
