Adani Power Ltd (APL) has successfully taken control of the Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (VIPL) plant as part of the insolvency resolution process. Situated in Butibori, Nagpur district, Maharashtra, this power plant comprises two units, each generating 300 MW power from domestic coal. The transaction, valued at ₹4,000 crore, received approval from the Mumbai Bench of NCLT on June 18, 2025, and was officially concluded on July 7, 2025.
