Her journey to the podium was impressive, marked by three consecutive wins before a close 1-4 loss to Mongolia’s Sukhee Tserenchimed in the semifinals on Wednesday.
India’s Manisha Bhanwala Misses Out on Bronze in 65kg Category
India’s wrestling contingent witnessed another close contest as Manisha Bhanwala competed for a bronze in the women’s 65kg category. Despite a strong performance, she was defeated in the bronze play-off by Japan’s Miwa Morikawa with a final score of 2-8. Earlier, Manisha had battled back into medal contention with a commanding 7-2 repechage victory over Mongolia’s Enkhjin Tuvshinjargal.
