In her maiden Republic Day speech, President Droupadi Murmu spoke on the Covid pandemic, the Indian economy, the G20 presidency, and women’s empowerment. In a speech to the nation on the eve of the 74th Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu said that India’s achievement as a democratic republic was due to the fact that “so many various religions and languages had not divided but unified us.”

The current president of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, spoke to the nation for the first time on the 74th Republic Day in 2023. She spoke on a variety of topics, including women’s empowerment, soldiers, border security, national security, and many others.
This year’s celebrations include the traditional march past at Kartavya Path, which includes a grand parade by the contingents of the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces, tableaux display by the states and Central ministries and departments, cultural performances by children, acrobatic motorcycle rides, and a fly-past, in addition to the Vijay Chowk Beating the Retreat ceremony and the PM’s NCC rally. The main focus of the celebrations is “Jan-Bhagidari” (public involvement), which will display the country’s rich cultural history.

India will always remember Dr. BR Ambedkar, who presided over the committee that drafted the Constitution and was crucial in giving it its final shape.
